Who should attend: Everyone
When: Friday, November 11; 5:00-7:00pm and Saturday, November 12; 3:00pm-5:00pm

While 11-11-11 only happens once a century, we are giving you two chances this weekend to see over 11,000 dominoes topple in a feat of engineering design and razzle-dazzle. World renowned domino topple experts Scott Suko and Dan Beckerleg, along with a team of local engineering volunteers from Northrop Grumman and RFID Global Solution will be joining us to create a dynamic design through our Legg Mason Gallery, overlooking the Baltimore Inner Harbor.

You will witness dominoes of different sizes and colors zigzag, spiral, climb up stairs, across tables, fall in a collapsing pyramids and much more. The topple will be at 6:30pm on Friday and 4:30pm on Saturday, but come early to test designs of your own and interact with the experts.

The Experts

Scott Suko and Dan Beckerleg have been designing and setting up domino topples since the early 1980’s. They’ve toppled dominoes for a number of television commercials, films and music videos. Scott has appeared as a guest on Martha Stewart Living. Richard Hage from RFID Global Solution is supporting the design and setup crew.

In 1986, Scott and Dan became members of a team that created an Around the World Domino Topple for the Coca-Cola Centennial Celebration which was noted in the Guinness Book of World Records.  Scott retired from domino toppling in 2005, but is making a one-time comeback for this event at the Maryland Science Center. Dan continues to topple for many events.

All activities free with paid admission and free for members. This program is made possible by RFID Global Solution and Northrop Grumman.
